June Wong

June Wong

I have been interpreting for about 20 years, starting off supporting students in FE colleges, then a stint as employed interpreter at RAD – mostly community work. I qualified in 2000, and now choose to work as a freelance interpreter mainly with Deaf professionals in the workplace, and also with students in Higher Education. My first degree is in Electronic and Electrical Engineering and I am not scared of maths or technical subjects.

I have a lot of experience of political conferences and human rights issues, and some familiarity with working with Deafblind people using visual frame or hands-on communication. I prefer not to work with children, or in theatre/cabaret – but happy with animals!
